the first one that I bought 5 years ago was a great tool and it still works!! I bought a 2nd one for the shop at Christmas the new one is a little smaller with a LED flood light built in. I like the 12 volt version because it is smaller that the 14 or 18 volt which is small enough to work on cars. I you buy one you will not regret it!!!!!

Works well for low torque bolts. It's noisy, and it couldn't crank off bolts torqued to 75 lb/ft. This uses a tension ring to retain the socket. The ring is set in such a way that it binds any of a variety of socket brands so tight, I need pliers to pull the socket off.

I have done a considerable amount of reseach on this particular power tool over the internet and I really couldn't belive my eyes when I saw this item. So I put it to the test. If anyone has had to intall a Truck hitch on their pickup truck they know that it would help with a couple of arms just to position the hitch onto the frame and then attach the hitch to the frame of the Pickup too. That took me two hours without the extras and getting it attched by hand wasn't easy either. Then I order the cordless Square Driver. Yes I had to go in and make adjustments so the I could just make it complete. 20 minutes to undo and redo because of the tool. Simple to use and with only one battery and still have plenty of the battery as to say more than 96% left. Thats from tight to tight.

Nice small fastener tool, I dont think it could ever torque the 80ftlbs claimed though, anything larger than 3/8 is a bit too much for this tool, I got the flash light at the same time and it is very compact and handy also. Just don't expect too much from it either, allthough for the price you can't beat either one, especially for a Millwaukee tool.

These tools are excellent. I am not a big fan of the impact wrench just because of the noise but it is great for driving screws/bolts. The compact drill is so light weight and just a dream to use. I used it to drive 3.5" screws all day long with no issues. Even the tool bag is great. If fits lots of items and is very sturdy. I would highly recommend these tools to pretty much everyone. I am pretty much just a weekend house remodeler so I don't use them 5 days a week or anything but they have held up great doing just two days a week so far.

I have been in the finish carpentry business for years now and use all types of cordless tools. I bought this cordless set to replace my Bosch Impactor driver. I have always been a big fan of Milwaukee tools, both corded and cordless, that being said, I am not married to one particular brand. These drivers are not meant to be used for heavy duty work, but are rugged enough for continuous all day use. These tools are very durable and reliable. I use them several times a day on every thing from small deck and trim screws to self tapping and machine screws. The impact driver is for the medium jobs, like short deck screws and self tappers. The screw or subcompact driver can be used to remove and replace smaller screws but not much else. If you are looking to build a deck or run 3 inch screws with this set you will be very disappointed. However, if you are looking to drive 1 1/2 inch deck screws, self tapping tech screws, or replace door hinge screws, these are the perfect tools! I love them! No one company has a lock on the market for cordless pocket tools, but with the many other tools Milwaukee makes that take the same batteries and the price that Amazon sells these kits for, its hard to find a better deal!

Doesn't work great for big jobs. (i.e. trying to loosen lug nuts on cars) Works good if you don't need to tighten thing really tight or loosen things that are tightened tight. Personally I don't like it, but it may work for you.

This is a high quality cordless impact wrench made by Hitachi. I bought it when Amazon had it on sale for $123.00. It was a heck of a value. I also bought a Hitachi 1/2 inch drive to 1/4 hex adapter, so I can use it as a impact driver as well. I do most of the maintenance and repair on both of my cars. This impact wrench comes in handy. It balance pretty well in the hand and it's not too heavy. It has almost 120 lb-feet of torque so it is good enough for most of the lighter duty stuff.

Update: I ended up returning this and got the Bosch 14.4V cordless impact wrench instead. I went for the 14.4V version mainly for the additional 30lb-ft of torque. I ended up with the Bosch 14.4V because of the lower price available at Amazon. I am equally happy with the built quality of either Hitachi and Bosch cordless impact wrench.

Having never owned a refurbished tool before - and having purchased this impact driver as a test of sorts - I was very surprised to find a completely brand new everything. The case, the tool itself, batteries and charger had nary a scratch one. Even smelled new!

For the negs: the power is a bit on the weak side, due to the 12-volts, I would imagine, and I really don't like the light on the hook. The hook can't be in the "to hang" position if you need the light, and vice versa. Can't say I much care for handle either. Not enough angle between it and the chuck(?), and it's all fat at the bottom. You know, where your hand kinda gets smaller what with the little pinky fingers, and all. However, for the pos: re-charge time for the battery is about 15 minutes, and the little guy sure does punch above his weight. I've used mine to drive wood screws ranging from 1 1/4" to 3" all day, and (even with all the battery swapping) I still am content, and would buy this Hitachi driver again!
